We had lots of fun! She's going to be 6 years old in December... I'm feeling older by the day; I turn 27 on the 27th this month.

I'ts handy having a camera phone to capture the "Kodak moment". Not bad quality for an 'older' phone my Sony-Ericcson T-610

SeaWorld

Here's a great shot of us from our trip to SeaWorld this summer. Hart A.K.A. Peggy, A.K.A. Grandma "G.G." passed away on June 24th. We had a memorial service for her this past Friday is the sweltering heat, in El Cajon no less. But it was a short and sweet remembrance that provided closure to us who typically have a tough time dealing with losing a loved one (if you're reading this, you know who you are ;-)

Her remains were placed underneath a rose bush in the garden behind Christ Church Unity. It was somewhat cathartic in the way the minister related the physical and spiritual "recycling" of her being throught the earth and the flowers and the air etc. I took some photos (shocker) and I thought I'd share one. It's very symbolic of the reuniting of my grandparents who can hopefully enjoy eternity happily together again.

Major Bummer

My Grandfather passed away yesterday at 87... Something that we've been preparing for for sometime, but it's still hard when it does happen. I was very lucky to have been able to spend time with him and get to know him as an adult. He was a really interesting guy. A Coronado, CA native, he kept our planes in the air in WWII stationed in Ipswich, UK and worked on planes most of his life as a founding employee of PSA.

Notably, he was part of a select few who built the replica of the Spirit of St. Louis, currently on display at the Aerospace Museum in Balboa Park. A funny anecdote, I was in elementary school on a field trip at the museum and when we came upon the exhibit, a half-moon shaped wall had pictures of the engineers and fabricators of the replica and low and behold, there was a picture of my Grandpa "Hammy". I had no idea it was there and was so proud. One of those fond memories. We'll miss him...

Alias: My Favorite TV Show

So I'm watching my favorite show Alias last night and I can't get enough. There's great storylines, action, and acting. I've been a fan since the first episode and since the advent of TV shows on DVD, I've been able to get family and friends hooked. Needless to say, I haven't seen my season one set in quite some time.

It also helps that the star is not bad to look at. ...But seriously, Jennifer Garner is a very talented actress and just won the Screen Actors Guild for best actress in a drama series. Great job Jen! (we're on a 1st name basis ;-)

First Post

Well... This is my first entry on my new blog. Is it everything that you'd hoped?

Anyway, Paul McCartney was pretty "Fab" at the Superbowl XXXIX halftime show.
It was a safe bet to have him preform instead of the Ms. Nipple Jewelry Jackson. Sir Paul made a great quote: "I don't have a wardrobe to malfunction".

He and his band played four songs including "Drive My Car," "Get Back," "Live and Let Die" and "Hey Jude" with a pretty rockin' yet "true to original form" sound. His drummer was phenomenal with unbelievable feel... Damn!
